Scan Workbench

The Security WorkBench was developed to facilitate the use of common open source security applications, it is also possible the incorporate 'home made' scripts written in i.e. Python, Perl or Ruby. The advantage in using Scan WorkBench for penetration testing lies in the ability to log all test actions which greatly ease the combined use of the different tools. Further more this logging can easily be used as an appendix in the test report.

For penetration testing the following applications are incorporated: nmap, nikto etc. The basic operation of Scan WorkBench is governed by a configuration which contains all the instructions to handle the different applications. When the Scan WorkBench is started it scan the system to ascertain which capabilities are present on the system. Those which are not present will not be displayed in the menu.
