Types of Analyses

Not all organisations have a clear understanding of all the processes and means and there importance to fulfil the mission of the organisation. Without this insight it will be difficult to identify which (vital) parts are must vulnerable. In this case it is advisable to conduct (once) an analysis on organisational level which must consist of the following parts: - process analysis - system analysis - vulnerability analysis

Process analysis
The Process Analysis focus on actions which are performed by the different processes within an organisation and there dependence on ITC systems. It is of paramount importance that those who are responsible for the business processes are involved because they are the ones who must make the final decision on what security for how much must be implemented and which risk they are willing to take.

System analysis
A system analysis is a structured method to determine (security) risk of a system or systems. And to determine possible measures to mitigate the identified risks to an acceptable level. What in this context is "an acceptable level" has to be determined during the process analysis and depends on the demands made by the business processes on the different systems.

Vulnerability analysis
For both types of analyses Secure Connection has developed several types of programs. The advantage of using these programs lies in the structured approach and the simple reporting form.

Secure Connection has for all three types of analyses developed programs which can assist the analyst. The advantage of these programs is a structured approach of an analysis and an efficient form of reporting.
